I figured I haven't posted any particular product review yet from my favorite Korean beauty product line, Etude House. By now, my post back then about my Etude House Beauty Collection has a few more additions in the "family" already hehe. It's not that I am hoarding haha; but I do make it a point that whenever I drop by their store, I pick up at least one beauty essential and use it. There's really just a lot of items you'll love and each items is surely a treasure for keeps.

One of my favorite items since it was launched a few months back this year, is the Nymph Aura Volumer # 2, from the very popular & successful Nymph Aura Line. I can't believe it's indeed the beauty secret of most KPOP and other Korean Idols; and it has landed on my hands, c/o Etude House. It has been part of my regular skin care since the first time I got hold of it!

Its promise to give that different "glow" in your skin is true. You gotta try it to believe it. I surely did and it gives me more confidence to mingle with more folks. This photo on the side was taken right after I applied this product as per the instructions. That kind of glowing skin you thought would just end up in your dreams is right there, materializing in your very eyes! No wonder everybody loves it!

When You Want A Good Breakfast Buffet, Come to Bellore

I don't normally come to buffets since I don't get much of what I paid for. I easily get full and I couldn't take in any more food. Not that I have a small appetite ... I just get full easily hehe. But sooner or later, I might get hungry again. Nevertheless, when I do starve, I can't help it but eat a lot hohoho~ And I guess when some of my colleagues and team members invited me to this breakfast buffet after a long shift, I easily said "yes" and joined them.

The place we went to is just nearby our Quezon City office. I'm talking about Bellore: Comfort Food and More.

I was told that the owner is a family member or a relative of one of our employees in VXI (Quezon City). Good deal! I believe this business thrives considering the tough competition of food establishments around.

I guess the food they offer concentrates on local Filipino menu & a mixture of other cuisine, considering their name; which targets a specific group of customers. And since we're all craving for a good meal that day, hunger aside, we decided to eat loads from here. I must say it's a good choice.

I've been frequenting the Makati streets for about eight (8) years now (I guess) because of my work location and it wasn't until this year that I discovered this place ...

One of my team members and a good friend, Mulan, lives nearby and she somehow influenced me into liking and craving for more of the local food items available from this store. I can't believe that I only found out about this place just so-recently! Food this good has to be discovered much earlier lah!

Anyway, when I found out about it, I wasn't raving for it until I tried their dishes. My first order was just a light meal to serve my hunger. Yeah! I can consider it as a light meal. I didn't order for rice and viand meals but their best-sellers ...
  • 1 single order Pancit Malabon
  • 1 single order Pichi-Pichi (cheese - 4 pieces)
This set is already good enough for a hungry stomach and I must say, it's delicious! I only tried it once and I kept on wanting more ...

There are quite a bunch of other restaurants that offer better quality and much tastier Italian cuisine, I bet. But this place got me hooked for the wrong reasons I guess. Yes, it still includes taste though hehe.

Just recently, I craved for Italian food but my # 1 bully did not prefer to eat pastas nor pizzas that day. He wanted to eat "real food" as he said (LOL) and with that, he meant rice and viand. The ambiance of this place kinda drove us in and soon enough, we found ourselves choosing from their wide selection of menu items. Soon enough as well, we sat comfortably in their customer-friendly lounge-type seats that enticed us all the more to stay.

The overall look may have done the trick but do they stand up to the quality and service that customers deserve? Find out ...

I Get My Contact Lenses from GWYSHOP

I started using contact lenses in 2008 when I first tried to cosplay. It wasn't the best experience since I'm not used to having "something" in my eye. I would often blink and put drops to lubricate. While the brand I first tried was popular and has the softest lenses as I've read, based on reviews, it still didn't do the trick.

GEO Diamond Series - RED
As months and about years go by, I discovered that there are tons of different places where I could get good contact lenses. I did try several other brands / suppliers / shops, especially when the popularly known GEO lenses came into play. I bought some stocks from my friend and it actually felt uncomfortable. The lenses are thicker than most American brands or similar types. Since GEO is an Asian-type of lens (based on several reviews online) and a Korean brand to be exact, it's made thicker to suit Asian eyes and climate.

This "business" has actually gone viral, I'd say. I knew of several online shops that sell them for a huge stash of cash back then, just to make profit but soon enough, tons of shops sprouted out of nowhere - offering much lower prices than ever. This has brought suspicion to a lot of buyers, myself included, since most offers seem too good to be true. And little did they know (well, some), most of them are FAKE. Not only do they harm the eyes by means of redness and irritation; they could also lead to serious condition like BLINDNESS. This scares the sh*t out of me! I wouldn't sacrifice health for beauty lah~ That's why I am always careful with my purchases.

Some time in 2009, I found out about this shop and as I started buying more stocks for daily wear and cosplay needs. I found myself buying more often from there since then! And what kept me buying from this shop called GWYSHOP anyway? Find out why ...

The Face Shop Vita C Mask Sheet

It's not only until this year that I started to pay attention again to taking care of my skin (under the influence of Xiaxue I guess hohoho~) so now, I also pay attention to what I put on my face (and overall). The skin is the largest cell in the body anyway so we gotta take care of it, right? Excuses! LOL.

So I tried to look for the freebies I got from some purchases I had bought certain stuff last year (i.e. BB creams, some pore smoothening, etc.) from different Korean skin care shops. And before I converted to my Etude House fandom, I used to be a fan of The Face Shop. I just find Etude's stocks more "girlie" and suiting my needs though soooo ... oh well! Anyway, I found one of the stuff I had as a freebie some time ago ... good thing it's not yet expired heheh. I didn't put much attention to them before. So, there are different types of them and the packs I got were the Vita C Mask Sheet.

There's been a lot of reviews online about it already so I won't do the same heheh. But lemme share it's effects on me lah~

The specific product I had was Vita C Mask Sheet with skin tone brightening Raspberry & Strawberry Extracts (vitamin supplement for the skin). Honestly, I don't do "facials" nor put on masks as part of my "beauty regimen" but I guess, it's worth a try hehe. Besides, I wanna fulfill my "taking care of my skin" duty hehe.

VXI Satellite TV Sales Turns 3 at Robot Bar & Restaurant Lounge

I already promised to write about the other anniversary project right? This is rather late ... So here it is now ...

Initially, our Quezon City Site celebrated the account's 1st Year Anniversary at Dolce Superclub. Our main site of course, in Makati City, did not let the sister site end as glamorous as they did. LOL. And with this, our Makati Site Satellite TV project who turned three (3) held the event at another prestigious place - at Robot Bar & Restaurant Lounge. Let me greet everyone and congratulate everybody for a wonderful job all throughout the years! All this success is not possible if not because of everyone's hard work (ehem, sounds familiar?) Being in a sales program is not easy but it's definitely a fun work environment, especially as we serve a premium account, which is truly a hardcore sales account! Yeah! So Happy 3 Years for us!

We've planned everything in about a month's time but the location didn't come into the picture until the actual week before the set date, due to non-availability of the amenities we prefer from several bars we've pre-selected. And with a Food Tasting Event held in cooperation with the bar management, we've settled for Robot. The food was amazing and that really sold us the thought to hold the event there. And last November 25, 2011, VXI's premier sales account - the main site, our project, has already celebrated its 3rd Year Anniversary.

My OC-ness is more of me being detail-oriented and I believe I certainly need that trail, or even, "skill" especially with my work in the corporate world. Despite the presence of many smartphones now, I remain "old school" when it comes to my notes' taking. With this, I stick to the old planner type journals like what we normally collect from Starbucks during the holiday season. I used to collect stamps too from Starbucks until I discovered this planner from Belle De Jour. Since then, I believed that this is the best planner for me that perfectly suits my needs. It matches every girls' needs. It doesn't just cater to college students I guess but to young professionals alike. And since I discovered it from a friend, I've been keeping it as my planner for years now.

This time, it's gonna be my fourth year with BDJ Power Planner. For the year 2012, I already ordered my new planner. I love it! There are many reasons why every girl would love it. Allow me to share with you my reasons and why you should start using it too, in case you haven't considered it yet, dear reader!

My Dream Barbie Doll

I might be too old for a Barbie Doll dream now. I know this doll is meant for kids but as they say, you're never too old for a hobby anyway ...

I used to have tons of Barbie dolls at our old home. I lost count of how many dolls I used to own. I took pictures of them everytime I play. I think, including my sister's collection, we have roughly 80 to 100 Barbie Dolls. Honestly, we had all the rare ones and some normal collection dolls. We have aunts who live in Australia who normally sends us the newest dolls in town, even before they hit the stores here in the Philippines. Our collection grew since childhood. We could run a fashion show with them and if I remember it right, we used to host Barbie Miss Universe contents with our cousins. I remember all these fun times ... but now, they're just all in my memory.

August 13, 2006 ... our house was caught by fire. In an instant, we lost almost everything. We only saved a few items and the pictures we had were not all saved. I don't even have photos of me since I was kid now. It makes me sad sometimes knowing that there's a piece of me I can't get back but as a grown-up, I must move on.

Thankfully, my family and my other relatives are all alive until now even after that tragedy. I may have lost my collections but I'm glad we're alive. I stopped collecting stuff and I guess, my fondness on vinyl or PVC toys and collectibles only returned last year or in 2009 when I started cosplaying. In real life, I love to doll up to. I guess the Barbie Doll fandom is still in me anyway; it just paused for a while. Though I didn't want to continue my collections, that blood line lives in me. And now, I want to have collections once more in the form of the collectible figures. But there's this one Barbie dolls that I still would like to have. It's the Tokidoki Barbie Doll.

Many people think that I'm such a rich kid / spoiled brat / primadonna. Colleagues and friends alike are normally mistaken. Hohoho~ They normally say I have that "bratty" image because I evoke a classy yet b*tchy style. LOLZ. And they oftentimes think that I buy really expensive stuff because of wearing ... sometimes ... branded clothes or items.

Well, little did they know ... I'm just a smart buyer. I normally rummage stocks on sale and I do buy stuff from Divisoria and other flea markets. And a portion of my clothes are still from the donations I received after the fire that caught our house in 2006. I feel blessed for still being alive after that tragedy so I keep the clothes as memorabilia. It just so happened that I guess, I have lots of wealthier friends and Chinese friends who also have branded clothing. :)

Nevertheless, I still find myself shopping from time to time though I ain't that brand-shopper. If there's a style I really love, I'd grab it! I don't want to miss an opportunity anymore, in terms of owning something I really want. Of course, I still value the price and if it costs too much or beyond my means, I wouldn't even buy 'em regardless of how much I want them. (^_^)

This time around, it's December and it's my birth month ... and it's the holiday season so I'm sure there are lots of sale events that will happen. I've actually seen a few good ones I want to check out already starting off with this PRIVADO sale by SM ...

Food Tasting at Robot Bar & Restaurant Lounge

With only one (1) more week to go to close out another project for the other site I support (same program), we were pressed for time to get good deals that will surely make our team happy for the site's anniversary party. The Quezon City Site's celebration was a blast at Dolce Superclub. Of course, for the Makati site, the team wouldn't settle for anything less. And with that, we found this eventful-place that will surely be a big hit (as it is now) for years to come. I'm talking about Robot Restaurant Lounge and our party was scheduled last November 25. Good luck!


Surely, my team of organizers did find other good bars and restaurant's where we all could really party. We scouted several places in the Makati area and the price differences are minimal. We actually were finalizing a deal with one bar at one point but without our executive apporval for that location, we didn't settle for the place. For one, exclusivity is a major consideration and we weren't able to get that in the deal so I had to let go of that other bar.

Thankfully, we found Robot. While it may not have been our first choice from all the lists, after this free food tasting deal we had, we were finally SOLD to the idea of getting their services. Seriously, their FOOD IS HEAVEN! Outside of the party-styled location, free room movement, decent area for drinking, etc. that me and my team have factored in for what we'll get as our final location, the food tops our list as well (considering the hungry pack I have ... LOL ... our sales agents really love foodies!) and Robot bar didn't disappoint us with the selection they presented. And with that, it's more than a DONE DEAL! We closed it out in no time!

Last Thursday, the Nuffnang PH Team has already formally announced the four (4) bloggers who won exclusive tickets to the Nuffnang Asia Pacific Blog Awards 2011 (or NAPBAS 2011 for short) happening this December 16, 2011 in Malaysia. Surprisingly, two (2) of my originally nominated blogs for NAPBAS 2011 have bagged the prizes as posted in the Nuffnang Blog. 


Kring Elenzano's FUNNYSEXY.PH blog site was my nominee for Best Lifestyle Blog; while Hannah Villasis's FLAIRCANDY.COM was my pick for Best Travel Blog. Though both of them weren't able to make it to the cut in the final blogs for voting, I'm happy that they were chosen instead (or their blog posts) to be one of the 500 bloggers as guests to this prestigious event. I did join the same contest though ... too bad I didn't win hehe. My blog post entitled "Nuffnang Blog Awards, Here I Come" concentrated more on why I should be picked instead. Looking at the winners now and their blog themes, they chose the other blog option and that is to write about their Nuffnang Story. A Smile With Happy Lemon Tea Shop

I had a short trip to Greenhills Shopping Center recently due to a client visit and since my taste buds required me to get a dose of milk tea anywhere (since that day, I wasn't able to have my Serenitea) so I tried searching for a Bubble Tea shop nearby. In my search, I found this shop instead.

I know I read it somewhere and my instincts are right - it's that Happy Lemon shop that offers state-of-the-art (wow!) milk and fruit teas in town. The milk tea business has grown a lot indeed and this one, I know, is one of the few new brands booming! Who wouldn't know it, right? Chris Tiu's name is attached to it. LOL. Although the name reminds me of comedy videos from youtube - Annoying Orange, I thought maybe there's something much more that the store can offer.

Last November 17, 2011, one of VXI's premier sales account has celebrated its 1st Year Anniversary at Dolce Superclub, Quezon City. Approximately 200 guests and VIPs have attended the event for this very important milestone. This program is actually an extension program of its pioneer account located in the Makati office; which will then celebrate its 3rd Year milestone this week. I want to take this opportunity to greet everyone and congratulate everybody for a wonderful job all throughout the year. All this success is not possible if not because of everyone's hard work. After FINALLY watching the highest grossing movie of the year, Praybeyt Benjamin with my Fafi this weekend, we had to scout for a place to eat. We didn't have anything in the afternoon as merienda and dinner was delayed, thanks to me! LOL. I had a number of items to finish for work. And since we tried to catch the LFS (Last Full Show), there's not a lot of establishments open - unless we go to bars and stuff. The last option we had was Chic-Boy (Chicken at Baboy) at West Avenue, Quezon City. Trinoma didn't have any other options opened lah~

I was thrilled to see that the store now has Japanese Menu offered, as they've posted on their banner. There are a few choices for now so I settled for it. It's "something new" for them. I doubted it would taste good. The store is known mostly for Filipino dishes and offering Japanese food is quite questionable. Anyway, we gave it a try. My first thoughts were, will it taste at least as good as those from Japanese Fastfood? Of course, I wasn't expecting that they could cook best like those offered in Japanese restaurants. I only tried one variant from their line, Chic-boy Goes Japanese. At this point, all I can say is, well, they didn't go "that far" ...

I've been a user of Korean beauty products since 2009. I started using BB creams back then as a healthier alternative to foundation and airbrush makeup primarily for my cosplay needs. I've read about BB creams being used for surgery needs and had amazing results! Since then I've tried several BB creams as well (and I will write about my review on them soon!). I have very sensitive yet oily skin so not a lot of products are good for me. I normally develop rashes and itchiness on several local and imported products. I'm just glad then that Korean brands are more helpful and they suit my needs.

Aside from BB creams, I've tried using other products as well and tried several Korean brands. To date, I can say I loved using The Face Shop and Skin Food so far. But since I started this other brand, I got more addicted! Too addicted, I can't control it (OK fine! I can. Esp. when I don't have money)! LOL. And every time I drop by their stores, I can't help but purchase at least one product for me to enjoy! I'm talking about Etude House. The girlie, vibrant, and pinkish look of the shops add glam to it so all the more that I fave it! I started my haul from a few pieces and then now, I have a few. I guess I can be eligible now for the Pink Card, yey! Last June, I attended Toycon 2011 and my character suits the shop. With my pink ensemble and the lovely staff, they allowed me to pose and jokingly, they said I'd be replacing Sandara soon. LOL. I love Dara too though but if I'd be given the chance, I'd love to endorse Etude House too. Bwahahaha! Dream on! Oh well, I guess these brands are always featuting KPOP icons or KDRAMA idols! And since I love 2NE1 as well (and yes, Dara of course), I guess I favored EH more than any other brand (and not to mention, it's PINK). Allow me to share more of my haul ...

I ain't really a shopping guru but I do love to shop (take note, window-shop) and sometimes, buy good deals I rarely find. Some of the items I really fancy are clothes, bags, and shoes (outside of my regular cosplay needs). I used to buy a lot of cheap ones but the I have to admit, I've sacrificed far-more quality than ever! With that, I told myself, I gotta be a "smart shopper" so even though I may pay a few extra bucks on something, I spend on them as long as they're of good quality; and sometimes, from a good brand name.

Am I really into brands? Not really. But sometimes, I prefer certain brands over generics hehe. This is because, I certainly believe, such brands have already gained their following and that, they've earned the trust of many with regard to the quality of their products. Not all brands have to be costly. There are really good deals around and just this week, my friend and colleague Ten brought me to this store I've never really heard of. She called it Payless, which really occured to me as a brand of instant noodles, no pun intended! But as the name goes, you really pay for less. I researched a little before coming and from there I knew that Payless is actually Payless Shoe Source. And for every girl who loves shoes, this is the place to be! 70% discounts on good shoes? You bet I'll spend at least a few on this ...

I was on a "tour guide" duty (LOL) for my friend, Annie Kao though I wasn't really feeling at the pink of health. Still, I decided to go on and not miss this chance since Annie will be going back home soon as well. We decided to go to Greenhills Shopping Center for some goodie bags and more swags but to our disappointment, we found nothing. The stalls were reshuffling and they won't be open until today instead (we went there yesterday). Not a lot of stores are open so we decided to go malling. I didn't have any other idea on what to do so I just kinda briefed her about the big malls here (HAH! As if I'm an expert now. LOL!) The nearest-biggest mall I know of is SM Megamall so we decided to go.

The first thing I remembered was, there is an Etude House Boutique Shop here so that was were we went first. Annie buys most of her skin care and beauty products in Thailand instead. Well, she's from Taiwan but her family resides in Thailand instead and such items are cheaper there, she said. But as we rummaged the stocks from EH, we had some good finds yeah! I'll blog about my Etude House fandom soon hehe. For now, here's what I wanted to share. I was looking for my favorite line actually, the Mini Size U set since that one has helped me minimize pores for real! And my skin has largely improved - clearer and less oily. Unfortunately, as per the staff, EH has already stopped its production. That kinda saddened me so I thought of finding it inside Watson's instead. The sales girl also told me that it's been phased-out. *sobs* But not to worry as she said; I may find other good stuff at the Holiday Glam event. What's this HOLIDAY GLAM you asked? I had the same question so I tried to discover it for myself. This is where you can pose like us in this pic and have it printed ... with free makeover! How is that possible? Read on!

The milk tea business in the Philippines is booming!

Thanks to successful franchises of different milk tea brands in the country, the trend has gone viral! Admittedly, as stated in one article, Filipinos are predominantly coffee-drinkers. The early introduction of milk tea to the industry was not as widely-accepted before, compared to ... well, NOW. I do believe in that statement as well. I personally stated my sentiments on that in a prior article I wrote, about Serenitea. TEA is the new COFFEE, I said. And in just a short span of time, this business has thrived in the market.

Chatime at SM North
 The old "nai cha" concept is gone and this business has introduced innovations to the new kind of drink loved by many. And I wouldn't let this pass without me trying out what each brand has to offer. It's om nom nom time lah~ And just recently, I chanced upon this store called Chatime, at SM North EDSA. It didn't dawn on me that it was a tea shop until just recently. Who would've thought that the tiny space there with cutesy designs would offer good tea drinks, or better yet, milk tea? I thought it was a cafe or an internet shop (for the LOLZ) until again, just recently!

Hello There, From Anime Festival Asia (AFA) 2011!

How I wish I could tweet that line or put that as my Facebook status right now? How I wish I could've joined my friends in attending this highly-anticipated event? How I wish I booked my flight early and by now, I'll be leaving and preparing my costumes for this event of the year? *sigh*

So it turned out I couldn't join. I was excited all-year-round but then, well, because of my priorities, I had to let go of this dream this year and let it pass. How deeply sad am I right now *sobs* though I know I shouldn't be. There's always a next time, they say. I just thought that ... or maybe expected that this year could be my year but it turned out, it wasn't.


*sigh* again * Oh well! Somethin's gotta give! I give up on this one. I have priorities yes and my work came into play. Yes, it's a priority for me. So while my friends are most likely boarding a plane right now, on their way to Singapore, I'm working my way here at home (and this blog post will be auto-posted once I'm at work already to make my blog more ACTIVE LOL) missing my AFA 2011 chance. I know there's a reason why I'm missing it again this year (3rd attempt now?) and maybe, next year will be my chance.

Why is everyone raving about AFA anyway? Is it all just "cosplay?" And why am I crying like a kid over spilled milk? You know that feeling when all of your friends have something and you're left alone w/ nothing? That everyone went together and you were left alone? That's how sad it feels (sooo kiddo!) ... I know I'm missing a lot, missing my supposed-first-time-visit to Singapore, and that's why I feel soooo down. But I want to be excited for my friends who are coming there and feel the same happiness as to what AFA has to offer for them and everyone else ...

I am not really too much of a fan of milk tea. I've tried it before at Chowking (i.e. Nai Cha) and I didn't like it. The Chinese in me says I should like it but the Pinay in me tells me, it ain't really likeable. LOL. I love Chowking but the nai cha was just uhmmm ... not-too-good. But TEA is the new coffee! And with the recent opening of this store at Makati, a lot of us addicts stormed the place to check it out.

Ever since the Serenitea branch at Jupiter St. Bel-Air Makati has opened, I can't help but find myself buying anything I fancy ... almost every day! While I thought that place was rather "deserted" and the previous tenant has already vacated (i.e. Generic pharmacy?) ... plus the nearby establishments have unstable tenure, that spot seems primarily dead. However, I guess the company has seen its potentials ... high potentials worth reviving hence, they took the risk and opened up a branch out there. And true to its sense, this has become "THE SPOT" for almost all of the folks who work nearby. Even passers-by can have a quick break and chill out at that spot! It seems to be a perfect place now to chillax! In the short span of time that they've settled there (and no, they ain't leaving!), I've already developed favorites! Make way for photos!!!

In about two (2) months' time, the most anticipated blogging event of the year is about to happen. I'm talking about the Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards 2011. As soon as I saw it posted on Nuffnang PH's home page, I didn't think twice to participate and nominate my favorite blogs. I am still new to the Nuffnang Family so-to-speak, but I've been a constant follower of their blog posts, email newsletters, and Twitter posts. It was like two years ago, when the "best of the best in the blogosphere" were celebrated and rewarded with the inaugural Asia-Pacific Blog Awards, and now, the regional awards ceremony is back, this time to Malaysian shores!

I Know! I Want a Tokidoki Watch! Birthday Gift Please?

It's been about a year's (or more?) struggle for me to decide what kind of watch I'd buy next. I know I need one sooner or later and I have somehow semi-decided since I blogged about it a few months back. I can't imagine why until now, I haven't bought one! Gosh! I ain't really that-indecisive. I normally would buy something in a snap when I know that's what I want. I guess I just really want something that will match my personality and so far, the ones I thought I wanted have never come close to that goal ...

Ms. C from chuvaness.com have posted a number of recommendations already, primarily from Swatch Watches. I loved all her entries (outside of the Swatch pieces of course) and yet, I dunno why I still haven't bought one. I liked the heart piece and leopard (?) prints from a Jeremy Scott collection she posted. I also wanted to buy something with advocacy so I thought I'd get the Breast Cancer Awareness piece since it's PINK and I love that color too. When she shared her dunny gift photos, I overly drooled and thought I'd get the pink one too! It's soooo cute I want to have all of the eight dunnies from the eight pop artists! The Kidrobot collection is surely an eye-candy! Then I thought why not get one of that and my next fave from the Hiroyuki Matsuura Collection, which I first liked anyway (Strawberry Switchblade or Windy Bunny). *le sigh* I can't decide.

I got all crazy and thought I'd just buy the same Mango Watch I owned before (coz mine's already broken). Turned out that all Mango shops I went into and watch / timepiece stores don't have stocks of that one anymore. There are other more classy styles, but I don't want them since ... I can only wear them in formal or coporate events ... I guess. *le sigh again*


Then, I saw that timepiece online and it caught my attention ...
