It's officially summer time! Vacation time! I ain't really the "beach person" type. I rarely go to swimming activities, either with just swimming pools or big, beautiful beaches. One thing I always think of is ... what am I supposed to wear? The fashionista in me thinks that every time we'll go to an outing, I need to have a new outfit. Hahah! Do you guys think the same? But then again, that'll be too expensive! The travel expenses + all the different swimwear to wear, right? Thankfully, there are online shops now that really offer great quality and affordable pricing for swimsuits! And my pick this time is My Korean Rose shop, where I got these fashionably cute swimwear!

I have a few swimsuits but they're not as fashionable as these ones I got from Korean Rose shop. Plus the fact that these are in Korean fashion style, I know I can swim in style! I love Korean beauty products and Korean trends / fashion / clothing! Combine them in these swimwear pieces, and voila! I guess we'll look like kpop stars then! LOL. I must admit; I've been a cosplayer since 2008 and yet I don't own a huge collection of makeup! I only have the basics - 1 eye palette with just 5-6 colors that I got from a train station; 2 shades of blush on in a compact; about 5 different shades of lipstick only; 2-3 brushes for all purpose (blush, eyes, and another one). All these I survived since then ... not until in 2013 when I started getting a few more addition to my makeup kit - from gifts. And last year, I started adding more. I started receiving makeup as gifts mostly, which increased my collection overall. Then I got this set of matte lipsticks from this line that I now definitely love!

I don't have all the colors yet from their sets but I definitely love their collections. So far, I got these few pieces from Sleek Makeup "Matte Me" series and Detail Makeover "Matte in Detail" series. In this post, I'll be reviewing Sleek Makeup's Matte Me collection (at least for the 6 pieces I have). I'll reserve my review for the other set in another post. It's been years since the last Harry Potter flick was shown. Who else doesn't know Hogwarts at this point? I guess most of us in this era now has grown up with the Harry Potter Universe in mind. We've tried to chant the spells, memorize the names and houses, compared the books versus the movies, had love-hate relationship with the author J.K. Rowling when our favorite characters are not favored, we dressed up in similar fashion, adopted the British accent; and many more! We've lived the life mirroring how it's life to be walking down Diagon Alley and be one of the wizards .. or even the muggles! I sure did the same!

Imagine if we could indeed live it more, once again, thru amusement parks set here in the Philippines? I know that there are lots of theme parks already in other countries where peeps can enjoy rides named after famous Harry Potter places as well but here in our country, we're kinda late to adapt the concepts. However, another thing that we surely want to have here is ... you probably guessed it right by just the blog post title ... yup, you're right. A Harry Potter-inspired dining place! And whoooaalaaaa! There is something existing already! Wooohoo!

It's called The Nook Cafe located at Maginhawa in Quezon City. This isn't the first time I visited the place though; and it's surely not a new cafe now. They've been operating for more than a year or maybe about two (2) years now but it's just recently when I decided to do a VLOG and write about it. That place is addicting! I haven't blogged in ages! I always said I will go back to this and re-edit my layout and all that but I haven't lah~ But given all the opportunities that come my way this time around ... I guess I will be more active posting here again. I really missed writing and of course, you guys! My blogger friends and readers!

My layout still looks a bit tad-old and not organized but I'll get there! For now, I leave you with my very first VLOG Episode! Yep! I'm try'na do this too hehehe! I've been in Youtube since 2005 but I haven't really put much effort in my contents. But now, I'm really hooked to get better at my content so here goes ...

It's been quite a while since the the first IHOP store in the Philippines have opened. I didn't give it that much attention but I've been reading about them on the web. A lot of food bloggers have written about them; I see advertorials; I see them on the news and read them on local newspapers ... then I thought hmmm, this is probably something ei? But it's just another pancake store right? Or so I thought! So me and my colleague Erelyn visited the place one time recently and the experience was surprising!

It was during one of our busy week days after work when we paid a visit. A stressful day deserves comforting food, we said. It was still in the early hours in the morning when we thought there's not much folks waiting to be seated; and we would be able to finally taste what a lot of folks have been craving for. However, it wasn't that easy ... not as easy as we thought ...

I was out on a work trip and then I ran out of makeup remover. I usually have or wear my Etude House Drawing Show Creamy Liner which is really hard to remove, even with my Etude House Lip & Eye Makeup Remover Review nor the Mascara remover. Etude House Eyeliners are pretty strong and when it says waterproof, it really is waterproof!

And so, I had a dilemma ... I couldn't find an Etude House store nearby. Do I just buy a different brand I dunno of or I'd just wait 'til I get back home; and I'd just wash my face with my regular face wash that's also a BB cream remover (and would work on makeup)? Well, there's a Beauty Bar store and I though, hmmm, maybe I can find an equally good product ... hopefully something that will not damage my skin. I have sensitive skin so I only use very limited makeup and skincare brands. Thankfully, I found this Andrea® Eye Q's Moisturizing Eye Makeup Remover Pads. I was skeptical at first though ...

There were other types but I chose this "moisturizing" one since it's the least greasy. I think that's really the best factor that sold this product to me hehe. After liquid type removers, I thought this one would work. Well - I ain't a beauty expert nor guru so I dunno all types haha. I just try 'em and review 'em ... sometimes I read other good stuffs and learn from those but mostly, I don't pay much attention. LOL. Anyway ... for this product, I have put it to the test ...

Not so long ago, some time April 2013, popular fashion hub Lookbook.nu launched a very special project dubbed as Lookbook The Series. LOOKBOOK: The Series is claimed to be a story of passion, intrigue and betrayal set in the world of online fashion blogging. This original series was said to be inspired by the LOOKBOOK.nu community and each episode is available for viewing at lookbook.nu/tv

The project launched mixed reactions as well from eager fans and lookbook users; as well as the press. Like me ... I was intrigued about what type of story it has. Is it promising enough ... will we learn from this series ... is it gonna be "just another blogger" post showing different branded items without real style ... will they have lackluster acting ... etc. Those were some of my initial reactions when I saw it's email announcement. At the same time, I was also a bit excited back then since, well, this is something new from the Lookbook team. I tried to follow the shorts and I'd love to share my thoughts about this show.

The only time I put on makeup is during special occasions and cosplay. I don't really wear makeup on a day-to-day basis. I'm lazy applying makeup haha. But of course when we apply makeup, we want good makeup that really enhances our beauty and supports the colors that we put on our face. And especially during cosplays, there's a specific look we would love to achieve. Most of the time during conventions, it lasts all day so it's best to have long lasting makeup to minimize retouching and ruining your makeup in the middle. And I'm glad I was contacted by Anastasia Beverly Hills to review one of their products that's really perfect for any special event, and of course, cosplays!

I was given the opportunity to select a product to review. I selected from their Best Sellers list then since I was curious about what those products had to offer and why they were considered best. Back in February, one thing I'm seeing being advertised that much on the site was the Lash Genius Clear Waterproof Topcoat. I was thinking if I'll ever use that since I ain't really a "mascara" type of person - like, I don't really have a lot of mascara at home nor do I use it much. But there's more to that, which it can offer ...

Since their first branch opened in our country; netizes, donut-lovers, foodistas, bloggers, and loads of other residents were taken by storm. I've been hearing about them everywhere. From my friends, colleagues, relatives, etc. I wondered what was it really all about. Social media sites have been showcasing each donut flavor with all the yummy goodness shots! It was so tempting, I told myself I gotta try it! It's been a while since I posted about food too ...

My first visit was October of last year (2012) - yeah I suck at these reviews! LOL. This is so delayed now lah~ Oh well, I had to prioritize my other posts hehe. Going back ... I went to their Greenbelt 3 Branch with my friends and colleagues - fellow food-lovers and shopping / hangout buddies - Erelyn and Melanie. We were all from a tiring shift and before going all straight home, Erelyn dragged us to this store. Haha! Talk about getting "dragged" lah~

All the donuts seemed so delicious! Let's see what I can say about the shop ...

Romwe Fashion is undoubtedly the fast-rising online fashion shopping haven right now. It's popular among news sharing sites, social networking tools, fashion blogs, among others.

It seems that Romwe is setting the trend in all aspects - be it clothing, accessories, among others. They opened our eyes with their fast-selling and highly popular leggings! All amazing designs, and I, myself, am a fan of their fantastic leggings design. In fact, I have more than five (5) pieces of it right now.

As promised, I'll write about the dress I got from my new sponsor, Edressy.com and I must say, I really chose the one I could wear in local parties and events. One day at a park, I was handed with this professional sample of a new product being introduced in the local market. The name appeared so "clinical" and medically correct. LOL. It's been a looong time and I can't even recall exactly when I got this ... I'm just posting my review now hehe.

It was a cleanser and cream pack from a new brand called Physiogel Hypoallergenic from Stiefel. Having sensitive skin, I don't really try out a lot of brands for my face. I usually develop redness / rashes / pimples right away. But this one, well, I tried ... it seemed good enough and oh-so-medical as it sounded hehe.

It claimed to be "hypoallergenic" so I said, hmm, must try ...

As per the product claim, Physiogel repairs skin and locks in moisture for up to 3 days. The pack comes with a mini brochure filled with information about their product line and other offerings. This promise however, has a reference / footer note that says "conventional moisturizes with synthetic emulsifiers."

I tried this for about a week or so - I has given 2 sets so that's four (4) packs of 3ML each cleanser & cream. Each set lasted me 3-4 days; the cream having lasted more since ... well, I don't really use much of it as my face becomes oily. Click after the cut to find out more ...
