I did say I ain't a "beach person" right? But when I do go out for a swim, I make sure I stay fashionable like my recent summer-y posts Trendy Summer Korean Swimwear Pieces from Korean Rose Shop and OPPO F1s: Summer #OOTD. I mean, don't we all? LOL. Don't we all want to stay cute and fashionable this time of the year? And these outfits are best strutted on beautiful beaches like this one here ... you've seen me and my bestie at the Bolinao Falls in one of the OOTD photos ... and now, lemme bring you more of the beauty that is Bolinao!

It's the time of the year again where we look for affordable travel packages or search about things we can do at beautiful beach resorts like this one. The Philippines is very rich in culture and tradition, and one of the reasons why is because of the many different countries that tried to make us as their colony in the past. There was for a time, the Chinese barter trade, the Japanese colonial plot, the American regime, among others ... the longest of which is the Spanish era where we mostly inherited our language (i.e. most Spanish terms have been embedded in the Filipino language, ex. "lamesa" for "the table"), dressing, beliefs, religion, and many others that have been passed on to us from generation to generation. Aside from the beautiful natural wonders and magnificent beaches that our country has, one of the things we can say we take pride upon is the centuries-old set of churches we have across the country. Each of which is rich in history. And we need not look farther as we have quite a number already here in the city, Metro Manila.

For millions of us in the Catholic faith, the Lenten Season won't be complete without the traditional Visita Iglesia that is primarily set to happen on a Maundy Thursday. It's an annual tradition for me and my family to go and visit at least 14 Churches for Visita Iglesia but in the recent years, since my parents are already old, they weren't able to join in the long walks anymore. Last year, it was only my dad and my sister who did it and this year, I did it solo. On a Good Friday, we normally light up candles for a traditional procession in our parish church. Let me take you down history lane and share this common practice, that can be enjoyed in this post despite religious affiliations and beliefs that we all have! It's not like I was the one who travelled haha! But I was with the team as ... well, a tour guide. Part of my job is to take care of our clients whenever they are here in the Philippines.

As we normally tackle business affairs most of the time, it's best to sometimes, unwind as well and pay a visit to the cultural heritage that our country, The Philippines, has. And since our workplace is in Makati, the Business District; the nearest place where we could go is ... Intramuros, Manila; known also as "The Walled City."

Outside the hustle-and-bustle of the city, we knew we could go to popular tourist destinations here like Boracay (the most popular beach for tourists); among others. However, it's best we kept it within the hours that my clients could spare and did not go elsewhere anymore. After all, we have work to get back to lah~

I wasn't alone though, in terms of touring our clients, Todd & Ryan around. Good thing, our Sales Leadership Team went with us. And given that Kayci, my partner in crime in all the office activities, has been a student in one of the universities in here; he knew a lot about the ins-and-outs. Pronto ... he was our tour guide as well, hehe.

I thought of putting up the title "My Magic 6" but then the song, "Like A G6" then got stuck in my mind so I named this post, LIKE A B6 - short for "Like a Blog/ger of 6" or what have yah. Hope it makes sense. LOL

Nuffnang Philippines is celebrating the 6th Blog Day on August 31, 2011 and each blogger (and yes, I count myself to that group now ... I guess!) is required to put up a list of six (6) blogs that really hits the spot, yeah! 6 Blogs of "preferably" different culture, of varying points of view, of randomness, of opposite interests as mine (or not?), of values, of chuvaness, of anything else in the world ...

Ok before I really go crazy ...

I wonder which BLOGS do I submit here ... they should be something new ...

Well, I've been blogging since 2003. I started off with a Xanga Blog, where I post mostly personal stuff, until my cloud of interests grew and the blog became more of an article-posting site, where I also participated in the so-called Xanga Idol; where I made it to the uh ... somewhat finals ... where .... where ... where right now, I'm here in Blogspot. LOL! But my passion there has been rather inconsistent due to work load as well; not to add the tragic fire in 2006 which really caused trauma in me and heavy sadness - that I tend to veer from the net life (because I was online and doing web graphics / designs that day before I left home ... before the fire ... and I just simply wanted to escape everything I left in that house). But I guess, despite the situations, the blogger in me still dominates my persona so I keep on posting stuff and random thoughts online, in various platforms and social media. And as I return to Blogger this year for my whacky random postings (supposedly) ... I've encountered different sites / blogs that caught my attention again ... and sorta ... made me go blogging once more ...
