Perhaps I've been missing out on a number of cosplay events, websites, Facebook contests, and all that jazz so I didn't know what was going on elsewhere. Pfffft! Blame my busy life lah~ Work and related stuff comes first. Sheeez~!

Nevertheless, I ain't too clueless about the happenings for these three (3) though and I kinda discreetly supported them and fortunately, they've won! Yey! So allow me to say congratulations!

So, there was this contest ran by COSPLAYGEN called The Community's Choice. I can't recall when it really started. I believe I noticed a number of friends submitting their entries in Facebook. I received a number of requests to LIKE their photos too. I normally just like 'em all and to some "closer" friends, I share their entries on my page so my other friends can also support them. There have been quite a multitude of entries so I can't recall which ones I shared back. In fact, I believe it wasn't just one contest where I voted for such photos. Lah~

I personally love the pink one one though. If I couldn't get the pistachio colored one; then I must get this light pink scooter! Demmit! It's super-girly and I believe it matches my personality. I'd use it daily to get to work if ever I'll win it haha. Some of the consequences would include me getting wet on the way though, in case it rains. But still, it's a darling I can't afford not to have!

I thought of putting up the title "My Magic 6" but then the song, "Like A G6" then got stuck in my mind so I named this post, LIKE A B6 - short for "Like a Blog/ger of 6" or what have yah. Hope it makes sense. LOL


Nuffnang Philippines is celebrating the 6th Blog Day on August 31, 2011 and each blogger (and yes, I count myself to that group now ... I guess!) is required to put up a list of six (6) blogs that really hits the spot, yeah! 6 Blogs of "preferably" different culture, of varying points of view, of randomness, of opposite interests as mine (or not?), of values, of chuvaness, of anything else in the world ...

Ok before I really go crazy ...

I wonder which BLOGS do I submit here ... they should be something new ...

Well, I've been blogging since 2003. I started off with a Xanga Blog, where I post mostly personal stuff, until my cloud of interests grew and the blog became more of an article-posting site, where I also participated in the so-called Xanga Idol; where I made it to the uh ... somewhat finals ... where .... where ... where right now, I'm here in Blogspot. LOL! But my passion there has been rather inconsistent due to work load as well; not to add the tragic fire in 2006 which really caused trauma in me and heavy sadness - that I tend to veer from the net life (because I was online and doing web graphics / designs that day before I left home ... before the fire ... and I just simply wanted to escape everything I left in that house). But I guess, despite the situations, the blogger in me still dominates my persona so I keep on posting stuff and random thoughts online, in various platforms and social media. And as I return to Blogger this year for my whacky random postings (supposedly) ... I've encountered different sites / blogs that caught my attention again ... and sorta ... made me go blogging once more ...

Lili Rochefort Figure Preview from Hobby Japan ... Oh Well!

I read from my fave figure blogger Kumo that a Lili PVC figure is finally out, Hobby Japan’s Lili Preview. I've been wanting to get a piece as I stated in one of my previous posts: Tekken PVC Figures and The New Kotobukiya Bishoujo Collection.

Hobby Japan's Lili Rochefort Figure Version
  This upcoming figure is a 1/8 scale of “Emilie De Rochefort Lili” from Tekken by Hobby Japan as part of the Queen’s Gate series. What's irritating me off is the fact that the figure will be another (as quoted from Kumo) Hobby Japan magazine mail order exclusive. Reservations were already opened and will run through October 11th, 2011. The figure itself is scheduled for release in March 2012 at 7,980 Yen retail price. Demmit! How can I get one of these?

Nevertheless, if I can't get it cheaper here, I may just pass. I think it's still a bit far from my Lili PVC figure expectations. Her hair seems to be more golden yellow here. Lah~

I wish to have her in the Marvel Bishoujo line though like that of Christie Monteiro's version in Kotobukiya's Bishoujo Tekken line. Her Queen's Gate version looks rather ... uhmm ... like a kid's face and not moe or not as pretty as the real looks of Lili in the Tekken game. I'm still a bit happy though since finally, there's one that did justice for Lili and made a better PVC figure version of her.

Missing Smurfette From Mcdo Happy Meal Sets

Since this promotion started at Mcdo, I didn't skip a chance into getting each toy from every Happy Meal I purchase. Talk about getting the kid in me huh? From the set of eight (8) toy collectibles, I've already managed to get seven (7) of them and I'm only missing one piece left - the ever-popular Smurfette (Hair Care) item.

I've already scouted every McDonald's store for this freakin' Smurfs Happy Meal Set Smurfette thingie ... okay I was exaggerating ... but I mean all nearby stores and I still can't seem to get my Smurfette (T_T). The crew members have a unified answer: IT'S THE MOST POPULAR ITEM AND IT'S STILL OUT OF STOCK. Demmit! I still hope to get one though ... this collection wouldn't be complete without it. *sobs*

Android Toys are cute! That little green thing with its horns in all its glory! Yeah that type!

When I first received my Samsung Galaxy SII (and my personal review on it is still due ... some other time), my first thought was really, to accessorize it the best way I can, like how I planned to do it for my Blackberry. From keychains, to matching casing, cellphone charms, cellphone holder, etc. I love it with a tinge of pink! I dunno, but the urge to really personalize my phone has been a "must."

The decision to get which phone then has been a tough task as well. Top choices included the Nokia N8 Pink, iphone 4, and the SG S2. With SG S2 being the cheapest at the new postpaid plan I was getting, considering the features I wanted, I grabbed it then; that time being exclusive to Globe. Oh boy! I must say, the reviews about it are really true! It sure does eat the iphone alive! RAWR!

I have a lot of friends who are, straightforwardly, gays and lesbians. Not that I tolerate that but, it's their own free will. Personally, I am not in favor of becoming part of the "third sex" as they call it. Moreover, I do not want to be "converted" to a male. Being friends with a few of them is enough. They're cool and fun to be with. They're also humans.

In Chinese, her name appears as: 劉薰愛. I would refer to him with a "her" then since she has already acquired a National ID acknowledging that she's now a FEMALE. I didn't think it was even possible but well, she had it! She's done it!

My Blackberry In All Its Glory! A Mini-Review Chenes!

My Blackberry phone has served me for two (2) years now and running to its 3rd year. So far, it's been pretty reliable on a lot of things. I guess on top of the recent releases of other smartphones, this one really surpasses 'em all. Well, I did recently get a Samsung Galaxy SII for my personal phone usage but so far, I still rely a lot on my "BB" hehehe.

I use the BB for work-related items or business matters. Since we acquired a corporate line from a local network provider, I was too careful not to use for my personal needs. I knew that the corporate line was a bit pricey and yet, it wasn't all-unlimited data for about a year. After the contract was over, my company resorted to the all-unlimited data plan for all BB users. This was an advantage for us since we get a lot of emails everyday. My emails also contain a bulk of 2MB-sized attachments every hour due to the automated performance reports. While there's an option to turn it off at a certain time, use filters, etc. I couldn't get important calendar notes / invites then for my conference calls if I turn it off. It won't synch with my BB so I might forget. In the end, I didn't use a lot of filters and I didn't turn off the email synch. This costed me a few bucks every month then since everything in excess of our corporate plan gets charged to us, users. I had to endure that for a year. LOL.

Anyway, the 2nd year was better since we already got our unlimited data plan. This means more Facebook and Twitter time for me! LOL. But yeah, it won't cost me and my company anything extra anymore. Plus if I use it, it gets charged to me anyway (during the 1st year) so I'd rather utilize it properly hehe. Sad to say, I paid more extra amounts than the rest of my colleagues (except for a few others who are heavy users). On the floor where I'm located, wifi access is not working unlike in the other floors. So I'm doomed to use the 3G network or connect via GPRS and stuff ... which gets me charged instead. Pffft! But yeah, those times are over hahaha. With unlimited data, I work and socialize via mobile all the time! As easy as that!

My Globe Social Media T@tt Awards Nominees ... Vote Now!!!

Ever since I've read about the nominations for http://tattoo.globe.com.ph/tattawards/ from Magnetic Rose, I didn't think twice but to nominate my picks for each category. It's sad that I wasn't able to nominate for all categories though. I didn't have enough people in mind. However, I did think they would've worthy for the title. There were 10 Different Categories and believe me, it was a tough decision for me. LOL.




There are four (4) phases and I was glad to have at least nominated a few hehe. They had to undergo:
  1. Nomination (well yeah, fill-out the online form ... it was hard for me coz I had to get all their links and check their # of fans, and all chuchus).
  2. Screening (Erm ... their initial selection?)
  3. Judging (Eeek! The BIGATIN panel of judges to pick the Tops per category! Scary!)
  4. Voting (Online voting now!!!)
Allow me to share my nominees and who made it to the FINALS ... tough picks huh?

I also needed to put some narratives as to why I was nominating them. Gaaaah! Pressure?
Anyway, I can't recall 100% what I've written on the forms but some of my texts below describe it best (I was simply typing while thinking back then haha) ... Imagine, it was a 300-character-limit (and I'm used to writing lengthily) so my reasons were rather short on the forms lah~

Bath & Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar - This is my favorite scent thus far; and it's been my scent since 2009.

Chai's Bath & Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar Haul! $76.50 Altogether!

I am really not a fan of over-priced signature perfumes or EDT and the likes. I did try some of 'em though and I did love two (2) scents at most:
  1. Versace Bright Crystal  - I think I used it from 2005 to 2006++
  2. Armani Diamonds - Beyonce  - Probably used it around 2007 to 2008++
However, I guess I got too-used to them and their scents died down. Is there such a thing? LOL.

Until I got introduced, first to Victoria's Secret Vanilla Lace. I guess it was some time in 2008 as well. I have lots of relatives in the US and they normally send me gifts from the Victoria's Secret Garden Collection; which has been recently renamed with a new look as VS Fantasies.

A Saturday Habbit - Salcedo Market Food Trip!

Ever since some of my colleagues invited me to join them in one of their food trips way back 2009, and it so-happened to be at Salcedo Market in Makati; it has become a routine for me as well to drop by and have our breakfast/lunch or at least a short break from work; knowing that it's just near our office.

The place offers a wide variety of food and other things you'll like. If there's a Banchetto Night Market on some days, there's a Salcedo Morning Market on Saturdays and a Legaspi Morning Market on Sundays. I've never gone or visited the Leviste Market yet in Makati but it's mostly similar organizations and sellers as the Salcedo Market (or at least that's what I was told by one of my favorite sellers at Salcedo).

It's not like I'm always at that place every week though. Sometimes, work eats me! LOL. But whenever I find time, I go there with my friends and colleagues who love some different ambiance than what we have in the office; or those who love to "food trip;" or even as simple as ... just taking a quick break, as a reason. But anyway ... regardless of the reason ... me and my folks do drop by the place to bond and eat together! Nuff said! LOL. But there's more to it than what you could've heard ... it's always best to pay a visit ...

Can't Get Enough of Bubble Tea-rrific!

I've been craving for some Bubble Tea-rrific meal last Monday, considering that I didn't get a complete dinner that Sunday night anymore. I was completely tired and dropped dead on bed. LOL. And since my weekend normally falls on a Sunday and Monday already (considering the US timezone for my work shift), that Monday was then a pig-out day for me and my Fafi! Not that I want to get fatter than I am now but we were craving for some good food. The only thing I had in mind was Bubble Tea of course, so we went to SM North EDSA (The Block) for some Tokyo Bubble Tea-rrific meals. I said that twice already huh?

My sentiments exactly! It ain't the cheapest in town! But you pay a good price for some good food. This one ain't something you wanna pass!

Bubble Tea: Taro Milk Share (P145) and Strawberry Green Tea (P95) - (Large / Cold)
We started off with some drinks. I can't get off without ordering my favorite Strawberry Green Tea (cold/large)! My hubby settled for a Taro Milk Shake (large). The serving size is really big enough for someone thirsty and hungry at the same time. For sure it won't pass as a complete meal but you'll get full just by gulping the drink and the pearls! Yum! Their pears are super delicious and soft. You might wanna consider adding more bubbles and pearls to your drink. But wait! Don't just settle for the drinks! Wait 'til you get your servings of their mouth-watering dishes too!

The Yogurt Ultimate Challenge!

I love yogurt!

My personal favorite is the Tutti Frutti brand, as I stated in one of my previous blogs. It doesn't mean that I only buy from them though. Wherever I go, I can't help but get some servings of yogurt, whichever shop has one hehe.

I am not a foodie expert nor a yogurt expert. However, I did visit a number of yogurt shops already and I believe, each store has their own advantage of the other ... one way or another. Rhymes? LOL.

I saw it in the news. I just didn't realize it will get blown out of proportion.




This has been a trending topic in Yahoo and Twitter and everywhere else! The video has gone viral and has been talked about by many. While I truly believe that the "accused" may have had fault, I just don't agree with attacking the person on a "personal note." I mean, if we were put in the same situation (or in the same shoes? Wet shoes due to flood! LOL), the personal attacks are quite uncalled for.

His fanpage has gained a lot of LIKES and not because of him being an intelligent persona or a genius geek or something; but because of people mocking him for his seemingly stupid act - of braving the floods in Quezon City and making his "floating car" act as seen by millions.

Before I knew about Christopher Lao's side of the story, I was first connected with the social networking site news about his "comedian act." I pity him for the result though. Being me, I normally consider both sides of the story before anything else. I've seen the views of many ... and now, I've seen his short but meaningful statement; which makes me think that ... there are far more stupid people that he is, or he was, when he graced upon the deeply-flooded streets of Quezon City.

It was a first for me to eat here and I can say, it was worth it!

It was our "monthsary" that day and my Fafi Emman wanted to eat at restaurants or other establishments that have refillable or bottomless menu items. He wanted to act thrifty that day. LOL. And while strolling at the mall during our mini-celebration (coz I had to work that night so we have to cut it short), we passed by Pixie's Sinugba at SM North EDSA and gave it thought for a sec ... and then gave it a try.

Recently, I ate out at their Trinoma Branch and I was not too happy with their servings. While I am on diet (and the quantity serves me right, pffft), I believe it still does not match the quantity and quality of food they used to serve years back ... or at least in terms of the "standards" I know of, from some other branches.
