So I've been out for a few days. Got darn busy at work lah~ And while I still have a number of posts in queue and schedules, I decided to postpone posting them and this is one those post hehe. I wanted to keep up with the comments, my readers, and the posts in my Google Reader before I revived my postings hehe. So, this time I'm back. Who said I'd be gone for long? And who said that BB creams are just in cream / liquid / foundation-type form? That my dears, is my next topic ...

Well, I thought it would be like that. Little did I know that it's possible to be in powder form. Where else but from my favorite Korean skin care brand - Etude House.

I've tried other powder forms from Etude House (and I'm yet to provide my review ... sooo overdue hehe) - from compact type to loose powder and mineral powder forms. I've read good benefits of mineral powders so I prefer that form. For some time, Etude House has been out of those types for long until late last year I think (or so in my nearby areas). So when I saw this, I grabbed the opportunity already and bought it (so this is another delayed review already hohoho~ it was like October or November last year when I got this). I mean, who knows when Etude House will have stocks of mineral powder again? Haha. Talk about hoarding lah~

I only got one though since as per the product's promise, this is highly concentrated (or equivalent - LOL! I dunno how to call it right hehe). A small amount will already do wonders and no need to retouch that much as per the consultant I spoke with. Sounds promising? Let's see ...

Last March 4; they gave away a total of 100 Free Pairs and to continuously promote the giveaway, they also hosted Facebook Share contest and Twitter Retweet promos. Being a partner to Firmoo and having hosted 2 giveaways sponsored by Firmoo; I've constantly supported their promos and advertised the shop's activities.

To my surprise, I've one of of Firmoo's amazing promos and that's the Retweet to Win Promo last February 28. What an amazing way to end the month, really! Readers of this blog would know that when it comes to my fashion statement, I'm into the corporate chic look, given the fact that I work in a corporate setting and image plays an integral part to the role I portray. While it's been pretty challenging to balance, as I oftentimes say - the difference between dressing too young for my post or dressing too old for my age; it's been pretty fun trying to put together outfits that fit the environment. Overall, jiving with the company dress code has been fun and exciting.

The art of corporate dressing takes passion in fashion as well in order not to look too sluggish or have lackluster dressing. It's been easy-enough to find trends for women clothing nowadays; as we see more fashion statements that may even fit the work environment coming straight from the runways. However, I wonder how it would fair for men fashion too. I ain't a fashion guru but observing the fashion arena out there, I guess I can say that it's been a rather rough road for men fashion. While there's been an improvement lately, as seen in big events like the Oscars or what celebrities wear in red-carpet events; the style still seems bland but very plain. Isn't it?

I may be wrong though. Maybe, it's just because it isn't an easy task to choose great styling for men? Or there isn't too much choice out there unlike the fashion-frenzy women (like me) where we have lots of choices from malls to online shops? Especially for corporate dressing where suits, tailored outfits, ties, etc. are required. Well, fret not! There's a great place now providing suits for men in los angeles closer to where celebrities are right? Seems like a great choice!

With all the stress we get every day - be it work, family, physical strain, exercise stress and all the shiznizz; we all need a sound sleep and rest that's vital to rejuvenate our tired bodies and regain health.

Of course, all the "stressors" present would do anything to continue to harm us and take away all positive vibes and energies we still have. So the natural way as experts advise - just relax, take it easy, take a break, find time to sleep complete hours, eat healthy food, exercise ...

But of course, nowadays, those are not enough. We have to supplement our health with vitamins, skin care and beauty products, etc. to keep a happy, glowing skin; and happy outlook overall.

Our eyes are probably one of the parts of our body that get the most strain and stress. We only get to rest it fully when we sleep. It gets strained all day when we work, from staring at the computer, etc. And from lack of sleep, that's when we develop big eye packets ... dark eye circles ... fugly eye bags. Cosmetic surgeries may take them away for sure but an average girl like me can't afford that. LOL. So we have to be extra careful and add more precautions to premature aging and those unwanted eye issues. Maybe Etude House's Collagen Eye Patch can help. What do you think? Here's what I think ...

I posted a preview of this on my Instagram @chenmeicai - post. I love items from SheInside - pretty and in style all the time. The name of the store is also nice, applicable to what my inner sentiments are lately - I wish some people would just know the "she" inside me and not what other people paint of me. I guess some of you can relate ...

Have you been in those situations wherein there are people who try to put you down no matter what you do. They keep on dragging you to misery despite the fact that you owe them nothing; nor you did them any harm yet they have this perceived notion of harm you did so they constantly taint you negatively. And regardless of how hard you try to stay positive, it seems they're "winning" and all you have worked hard for ... is lost ...

The ad has been out for about a month now and even the month before, this commercial has been highly anticipated. So to add some lighter tones from my rather dark posts wallowing in sadness, I give you this!

I've been really eager to watch it and read about it even before it came out. Gosh! I'm such a True Blood fan and of course, my dear Alexander Skarsgard! *drools* I know it's very rare I talk about my fandom and I tried to keep this blog concentrated on my fashion and beauty picks ... but lah, I can't contain it so I'm writing it now hurhurhur~

I've heard the song since it was released; seen her music video since it went live; and seen her amazing rendition of her song in her live AMA Performance. The song is simply amazing! The lyrics convey the right words and message to a person who's really trying ...

I'm this dark mood lately and I'm not sure how it's gonna get better. A lot of factors beating me down to bits & pieces ... I'm just getting by ... Pink's song may be more suited for a lover suffering in violence but the lyrics are apt for all troubled folks out there too, not just lovers ... and it reminds us to stand back up and try, try, try ...
