In case you haven't heard of this game yet and you're a fashion enthusiast, fashion expert, of simply a girl at heart who wants a cool game; well you're missing a lot if you haven't played nor have this game. I'm talking about Fashion Story by Team Lava.
Fashion Story Mobile Game
This is one of the mobile games I downloaded from the Android Market since I got my phone last year (year after I lost and old one haha). Since then, I got really hooked.
It's similar to typical girl games wherein you have to finish certain tasks and achieve goals and do lotsa dressing up, shopping, and loads more. For me, I enjoyed playing this game because it makes me build my own shopping mall / boutique or whatever you wanna call it. They have really cute designs and colors, matching every girl's dream boutique, I believe. I don't have my own shop but at least in a game, I get to fulfill it. LOL. My personal experience with this game is not-too-exciting for a game review, I believe but I still want to share with you my shop and maybe inspire you all to download it and play with me! Yay! Check after the cut ...
So it was a few weekends ago when I went to this event. It was a fully booked weekend for me for shopping! LOL. I posted about it - 3x a Charm and my colleagues and I are craving for such good finds. I've already posted about My Bloggers United 3 Experience - so this time, it's for this other sale.
I can say that this event had some booths and ups and downs too. It wasn't too-crowded anymore when I went there. My shopping buddy Ten was the one who's all excited for the Zoo York sale. It was already a Sunday so I guess the better stocks have run out. I don't think these rubber shoes fit my style too. LOL. I mean, I'm all girly and stuff but not sporty and ghetto or downtown fashion getter. Sooo ... I thought hmmm ... what would I get from the other stores?
109 Flat Sneakers - Light Blue Crumpled Design from Happy Feet
I was "happiest" when I purchased this pair of shoes instead! Ahhhh such bliss! The comfort of wearing it and the design! Woot! It's soooo lovely! Even my shopping buddies from the event the day prior (at Bloggers United) was all-gaga over it! They didn't find this spot hohoho~ I like the fact that it's light and comfy. I can run all day with them hehe. The ribbons also, did do the trick! Bow-designed shoes are sooooo in-style right now hehe. So having sneakers like this one + the design is an absolute "GREAT FIND!" Not to mention the fact that it's supposedly priced at P2,100 and I got it for only P399. Of course, it's a "Megabrand" SALE already, that's why. But I'm still happy I got it!
Since I saw it in Kryz Uy's blog post; I told myself I gotta have one of those. Haha! I guess fashion bloggers are really effective in influencing other people's buying decision, ei? LOL. As for me, I know I learned a lot of other great finds by reading their blogs lah~
So I checked out the nearest branch for me in Greenbelt; hoping to find a similar bag in a different color. Judging from Kryz's neon yellow piece; I felt there should be one in pink ... and with that I wasn't mistaken.
Mccravy Clutch in Hot Pink by Call it Spring
This was the only piece left in hot pink color so I immediately grabbed it. Ain't it cute? The brand itself screams SPRING! And so does its merchandise! They have fun & vibrant colors! Anything a girl like me would want. I was thinking if I would get some shoes already haha. But I've got too many shoes already ... I tell myself, that's enough haha.
From bags, to shoes, to fun accessories ... the store has it. Their store has just opened recently and hyped by a lot of bloggers out there. So I got the message! I must go and check out Call It Spring! They also held a contest not-so-long ago wherein five (5) winners picked by top fashion bloggers, would go to the Meet & Greet and shopping event; with an all-exclusive 1 hour stint with our fave blogger; and then the rest of the evening will be for all. I didn't win ... but I still wanted to check it out hohohoh~ However, I overslept after my shift and didn't make it at all. How sad right?
During my recent visit with friends at the Bloggers United 3 event, I was given this shoe-shaped flyer (or whatever it's appropriately called) ... I didn't mind it at first but I got interested the moment I saw SHOES in it. It was only this week when I saw more posts about it around ... all the more I got intrigued ... and spread the word with friends ...
Coming next weekend; from June 30 to July 1; the BIGGEST shoe sale of the year is about to happen! Now on it's 2nd year, The LIST Group brings us ... "I'm SHOE In Love: Find Your Perfect Pair" event. From 10AM to 9PM at the NBC Tent, Fort Bonifacio Global City; a sure hit for shoe-lovers like me is about to transpire. For sure; shoe magpies and other fashion enthusiasts will check out this event for decent pairs of feet buddies that'll last us for years!
Are excited like me? Let's check out what this event can offer ...
If not, then join now! Because I am on FOODSPOTTING!
Curry Omu Rice, Tempura
This was actually one of the earlier apps I installed on my phone and I do LOVE everything about it. I guess one of the main considerations for bloggers like me is the mobile capability to post our stuff - be it a photo or even a complete article. Whenever a thought comes up, most definitely, the immediate reaction is to POST it and share it to the world. Thank goodness for social media!
There are loads of more relevant apps now that cater to different needs. In fashion, there's Pose. In instant-whatever-pics; there's Instagram. In web and other mobile photo blogging; there's Tumblr. Name it, you have it. It's nice to know that there's an application dedicated to food as well.
At tough times like holidays, special occasions, and similar events, businesses would normally promise a fast and efficient service despite their staff longing for rest and vacation like the rest of the world. Of course, shops should normally employ those employees who are willing to render overtime instead, during those times; instead of forcing other crew members to work including the wee hours in the morning to serve a hungry pack ... like us. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case in one of the trusted services we used to think of ...
TGIF via Quickdelivery.com.ph Failed Delivery Service
It was Holy Week and is but an official holiday nationwide ... nope ... across the whole wide world! A lot of establishments have pre-announced their holiday schedules so customers wouldn't expect much. There are offices that are still open, of course, like where we work - call center. It's a 24/7 business that makes other businesses open for longer hours to cater for this market. And yes, such companies are open on holidays.
There are a few establishments that are open to service during Holy Week ... and of course, they're mostly in the food & beverage industry since; call center employees would normally rely on deliveries at such times. We did the same. Unfortunately, the one we relied on wasn't that much reliable ...
Any winning moment is a sure bliss. But winning your loved items for free; plus getting them from your favorite celebrities is another story that surpasses the feeling of bliss ... Ahhh lucky me!
My Train Concert Tickets Prize
From Tim Yap's #YAP4GRABS
It's not like I always win though ... of course there are times I also don't win anything. But there's no harm in trying, right? After all, it's not just all about winning but it's about the fun and excitement in participating in those contests. The very first contest I joined was with Tim Yap's giveaways fondly called, #YAP4GRABS. I wasn't really all hopeful but I gave it a try. It was my lucky first try and first win! Yay! How cool is that, right? Anyway, I found it easy anyway ... he just asked his followers to tweet a photo that embodies the term / phrase "soul sister" and the very first thing that came to mind was to share my cosplay pic with my sister, in the only event we attended together and cosplayed together (so far). I wasn't certain of the prize but I gave it a go.
I have a Twitpic account anyway so I just posted this pic and hoped for the best. As most contest in Twitter require, the hash tag just needs to be there so; all good! #YAP4GRABS for the win! And guess what happened? Well, you're right! I was one of the five (5) winners (if I'm not mistaken) for that Train Concert Tickets for free; and double that! Yup! I won two (2) tickets for the concert! Imagine my face when I saw that the "REAL" Tim Yap was tweeting and tagging me right?

I'm sure all girls out there have been a fan of a specific girl band some time before. I am definitely one of those girls. From Spice Girls, to All Saints, to Destiny's Child ... those pop beats and girl power fever! In the 90s, there were quite a number of them. In 2000; there were only a few that stayed in the business and dominated the scene, like The Pussycat Dolls. From their music, to their merchandise, I've definitely been that kind of fan.
My PCD Loot
Splurge or not? I definitely splurged! LOL. Well, not really. I have to say I purchased only from their outlet section and I got my items for just about $50. Not bad I guess. I also had them shipped to my friend's address in the US so she just had to bring it home here in the Philippines. I didn't have to pay for huge customs fees and taxes and what-have-you. I mean like, come on! It's not like these stuff is for business lah~ All these are personal stuff and I can't afford to pay almost the same amount at customs.
Anyway, I loved the items I bought from the store. They're all very girlie and shows the inner doll in me. The girl group has been an advocate of women empowerment anyway so I definitely support their aim. It's just sad now though that PCD has disbanded ... and they will only be remembered by their music and their merchandise ...
I did succeed in getting to one of the events I wanted to go to ... Bloggers United 3 Summer Bazaar 2012! Weeee! I went there with my colleagues, Erelyn, Ten, and Erica.
One of my prized photos then is is this one; with me and Kryz Uy. Gosh! I went fan-girling lah! It's the 1st time I met her and at first I was thinking if it's really her or someone else ... she's so skinny in person! Yikes! I look so "jubese" with her. LOL. But she's still too pretty. To compensate, I just took headshots hehe ... and I covered my dark eye circles with my big shades. We're already sooo haggard from shift that day while the rest of the attendees still look fresh and nice. We don't look like we belong hohoho~ Anyway, we went there to shop so we didn't bother with those eyes around.
Kryz actually had a lot of stuff I like - most especially the shoes. She's also a size (7) so I really tried on a number. Unfortunately, her shoes are mostly ... I guess, for those with skinny feet. I have chubby feet (LOL) so either they are too tight or too lose (for those which are probably worn more times than the others - or those w/c have bigger size design but are still on size 7 or 37). Too bad ... poor me! Huhuhu.
My friend Erelyn bought one of Kryz's friend, Patricia Prieto's lovely black heels from the Chocolate Schu Bar. Really sad I didn't get a piece of them but I'm sure happy for Erelyn's purchase hehe. And those fab shoes were just sold for P500. They don't look too bad nor too worn out yet anyway. Some of them look really brand new ... still.
There were lots of other exciting finds in the bazaar. It was too cool, that the place was jampacked even when it has just started. We couldn't even move haha. Even though the place was airconditioned, it was too full and eventually went warmer and warmer ... we were sweating all over! LOL. The four of us eventually spread out as we scout for more bargains ... in the end, we didn't leave empty-handed.
This weekend is surely a big hit to fashion lovers, enthusiasts, fashionistas, and feelingeras (LOL ... ok count me in!) While I technically haven't had a "real weekend" as of yet, due to my work load, I need a little breather ... something I can squeeze in my work life to still stir up some fun ... and this weekend's Saturday and Sunday are both packed with good events to spoil myself on ...
First of, is this Bloggers United 3: Summer Bazaar 2012. The event, simply dubbed as BU3 this time is the most anticipated event among fashion bloggers in the country. I was a bit undecided since I thought, I wouldn't even have time ... but I told myself these places are just a few steps away from work and I can definitely plot it in my schedule.
I've been hearing about this event since last year and I've checked out their pages before - it seems lotsa fun. This time around, I didn't want to miss it. It's highly anticipated, as the top fashion bloggers and of course, readers are coming together for this fun-filled event. Reading the invites and sneak peek previous of what items will be sold; at really CHEAP prices, who wouldn't want to take advantage of it, right? What's good about it is that, the earnings will benefit charitable institutions ... these bloggers are indeed inspirational!
I was rooting for those stuff that my fave fashion bloggers are selling - namely from Laureen Uy, Camille Co, Kryz Uy, Vern Enciso, and Kookie Buhain. Not to mention, I want to meet them in person too. Their styles inspire me in my daily work life, might as well give them the credit and salute them, right? Hahah. I'm sure everyone will be in their best to be in this event. While me, I'll be sooo haggard already and tired from work but still, definitely check it out to see what else I can add in my loot ...
Preview Magazine is the Philippines' Best-Selling Fashion Magazine. Well, at least as per the site. In celebration of their 17th Anniversary Issue, they are featuring top girl celebrities in the country this June; who were otherwise known as The Call Me Maybe Girls now.
I wouldn't even get it until I've seen Laureen Uy'spost about a certain video they made dubbed as, you guessed; "Call Me Maybe." I found the video hilarious! Seriously. Imagine, top "IT" girls in the scene, doing funny antics on video, trying to lip-synch with this song; and dancing those crazy moves? Who would've thought that Georgina Wilson, Isabelle Daza, Anne Curtis, Solenn Heusaff, and Liz Uy would do such stuff with their other fun friends? Well, of course, they're only humans too hurhur~ and as normal people, they have that side of their life too. Ngak! Corny~ LOLZ. Anyway, so what's this video we're all talking about?
